Software Engineer Expert

Yapı Kredi Technologies

In-house since August 2025, after a year in an outsourced role at the same bank. I own critical banking systems and work on moving them off legacy architectures.

  • Developing a FIX protocol engine in Java with QuickFIX/J, to replace a third-party product and connect the bank to stock exchanges.
  • Contribute to the migration of monolithic legacy systems to cloud-native microservices in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Built event-driven processing between services with Apache Kafka and Azure Event Hubs.
  • Maintain the PL/SQL packages and SOAP services that keep data consistent and integrated during the move.
  • Led the setup of Redis for caching and UC4 (Automic) for batch scheduling.
  • Deliver full-stack features with Spring Boot and React.

Software Engineer IV

Yapı Kredi Technologies, via Metasis Technology

Banking applications and batch processes, built as an outsourced engineer before moving in-house.

  • Built back-end services and batch jobs with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch and JPA, and front-end features in React.
  • Helped split monolithic applications into microservices, applying Domain-Driven Design.
  • Used RabbitMQ queues for asynchronous communication and Redis caching to improve performance.
  • Wrote unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockito.

Work

Projects I worked on, and what part I played in each.

  • FIX engine

    Yapı Kredi Technologies

The bank reached stock exchanges through a third-party product. I am building a replacement, written in Java with QuickFIX/J.

Built with Java, QuickFIX/J, FIX protocol

  • Matriks OMS integration

    Yapı Kredi Technologies

Connected the Matriks order management system to the bank's investment infrastructure. The services talk to each other through events, using Protocol Buffers, Azure Event Hubs, Kafka and RabbitMQ.

Built with Event-driven architecture, Protocol Buffers, Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, RabbitMQ

  • From legacy to microservices

    Yapı Kredi Technologies

Critical banking workflows ran on legacy monoliths and Oracle PL/SQL. I contribute to moving them to Java and Spring Boot microservices, and I maintain the PL/SQL packages and SOAP services that keep data consistent during the transition.

Built with Java, Spring Boot, PL/SQL, SOAP

  • Kubernetes migration

    Yapı Kredi Technologies

Part of the effort to move existing services onto Kubernetes for deployment and container orchestration.

    Built with Kubernetes, Docker

  • Payment facilitator platform

    Firisbe

Account Management, Bill Payment and Transaction microservices, with their React interfaces.

Built with Java, Spring Boot, React

  • Invest+

    Yapı Kredi Technologies

The bank's investment application, rebuilt for its investment department.

  • IPO platform

    Yapı Kredi Technologies

Microservices transformation of the IPO platform.
